A large, bold machine-made floral wool area rug. The rug has an elegant center field having a deep black ground highlighted with a floral pattern of sage and moss greens, warm beige and taupe, ivory, French rose pink and garnet. It has a compound border with indistinct geometric designs and carnation-style motifs, and a principal border with a large garland of flowers and foliage matching the field. It has a dense applied fringe to either end. Unmarked.
