1981 Canadian Prestige Seven Coin Proof Set in Case

A 1981 Canadian seven coin proof set from the Royal Canadian Mint in original display case and box with documentation card. This set has six circulating coins and the silver commemorative dollar. This is the first year of the set in a frosted relief against a mirror field. The silver dollar commemorates the construction of the Trans-Canada railway. The reverse has the steam locomotive of the late 19th century with a map of Canada in the background. The nickel dollar has the Indian and Voyageur in a canoe which appeared on the very first silver dollar issued in 1935. Mintage 199,000. All of the coins are under an acrylic protective cover for both front and back of coins. The padded genuine leather case has a red satin lining and a snap closure. The original box is black cardboard.
