An original drawing by James Grubola titled Lignum Vitae Series: Conjunction. This graphite drawing depicts a section of the tree against a white background. It is housed in a wooden frame with an identification card to the reverse. Grubola is a professor at the University of Louisville in the Department of Fine Arts and Hite Art Institute in Kentucky. He graduated with his MFA from Indiana Univeristy Bloomington. He exhibits his work publicly, as well as publishing illustrations and medical illustrations.
