An original oil painting on canvas by listed artist Thomas Corwin Lindsay (1839 – 1907). This mid to late 19th century work depicts a harvest time landscape showing corn stalks baled. This painting is signed to the lower left. No restoration present. The painting is presented in a gold toned wooden frame with acanthus and floral appliqué. Ready to hang.

T. Lindsey was born in Cincinnati, OH. Although he studied in Germany, Lindsey remained active in his home town, opening a studio and founding the Cincinnati Art Club. Known for his landscapes and animal subjects, Lindsey depicts north eastern scenes in delicate brushstrokes.
