An oil painting on canvas by famed Cincinnati artist Charles Meurer (1865-1955). This late 19th century piece depicts a pastoral landscape featuring sheep grazing on an Autumn afternoon. No restoration present. Presented in a gold toned frame with molded textured details. Ready to hang.

Germany born, Meurer settled in Terrace Park, OH founding the trompe l’oeil style in America. Many of his works depict barnyard scenes. He also created landscapes and hunting scenes.
