19th Century Oil Painting on Linen Madonna and Child

A 19th century painting, executed in oil on linen. This Icon style piece depicts a crowned Madonna holding the Christ Child. Christ Child carries a holy book in his left hand and his right hand is in a sign of blessing. The mother and child image is set against a dark background with golden toned halos. Restoration is present in a number of places. No signature found. Presented in a gold gilt frame that is a later addition to this piece.
