A framed silver gelatin photograph by renowned American photographer Cal Kowal (Chicago/Cincinnati, 20th/21st-century), entitled 11 Historic Views of Cincinnati. The image depicts a run-down billboard advertising local radio station WARM 98 FM, next to a billboard of silhouettes of a couple gazing lovingly at each other in front of a sunset on the ocean. There is no artist signature, but a label to the verso identifies the piece. The photo is mounted behind acrylic glass in a narrow wood frame. Many museums include Cal Kowal’s photos in their collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Norton Simon Museum, the University of Arizona, the Museum of Contemporary Photography and the Cincinnati Art Museum.
