Vintage 'Reofect' Replica Rembrandt Paintings

A pair of vintage ‘Reofect’ replicas of Warrior with Golden Helmet and Young Warrior after Rembrandt van Rijn. ’Reofect paintings’ were actually early textured prints made in the early 20th century. Printed on canvas with an oil-based medium and varnished to mimic the texture of brush strokes. The prints were sold in high end galleries during their time of manufacture, but because the process was very expensive, it was abandoned by the 20th mid-century. Young Warrior has the original paper label taped to the back.
