Antique Mission Oak Drop-Front Desk

Item Details

An antique Mission oak drop-front desk. The desk is comprised of quarter sawn oak, having a slanted drop front with bronze tone pulls. The desktop opens to interior storage over a single drawer with hand-cut dovetails to sides. The desk stands on plank wood legs being joined to stretcher with pegged mortise and tenon joinery. Unmarked by maker.

Condition

- wear with staining to interior. The wood is split at hinge screws. Hinges have been replaced. Some remnants of paint to finish. Missing a peg to back stretcher. Some screws and drawer knobs have been replaced.
