Neil Armstrong Signed Color Photo With Certificate Of Authencity

A signed publicity photograph of Ohio native Neil Armstrong. Armstrong was the mission commander of Apollo 11; the spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon, on July 20, 1969. Armstrong became an instant celebrity but, in reality he was a private person who would politely refuse requests for his autograph. Therefore, his signature is a rarity for collectors. The autograph was obtained by a longtime friend of Armstrong. The photograph shows Armstrong in his Apollo 11 gear with an image of the Earth’s moon to the background. Armstrong signed his name in black fiber-tip marker to lower right, his name is printed to bottom. The photo includes a JSA Certificate of Authenticity; one of the top autograph authenticators in the United States. The JSA Certificate of Authenticity is notarized and includes a picture of the autograph, a description and a certification number: Y87407.
Condition
- back side has some discoloration to the edges and light rough areas where paper is worn.
