An original early-20th century silver gelatin photograph taken by well-known American photographer Theodore C. Marceau (1859 – 1922). The photograph is a portrait of an unknown gentleman in a business suit. He is seated with a copy of The New York Times rolled in his hand. The photographer’s blind stamp and his studio’s address, 824 Fifth Avenue, New York, are embossed to the lower right. The print is mounted on white backing and is presented behind glass in a beveled wooden frame with mahogany veneer. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- to fair. Light discoloration around print. Scratching and loss of finish across frame.
