Antique French Provincial Walnut Fauteuil Chair
Item Details
An French provincial fauteuil chair with needlepoint upholstery. This antique walnut chair has been upholstered in a contemporary needlepoint featuring a boy, similar to Thomas Gainsborough’s Blue Boy surrounded by extensive floral and foliate decoration. The needlepoint is upholstered with patinated nailheads. The chair has a rounded back with scrolled arms and a wide seat terminating to scrolled cabriole legs and pad feet.
Condition
Fair, two cracks in the wood on the top of the frame, chips throughout the wood, and minor scuffs to the legs
