A late 19th century antique chromolithograph print of a painting by Connecticut maritime artist James G. Tyler (1855-1931). This detailed scene depicts three large sailboats crossing a choppy sea. The original is signed in the lower right corner in red by the artist. The print is housed behind antique glass in its original deeply set gilt frame. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging. Condition
-to fair, consistent with age. light insect damage across the print. some areas of accretion, including a dark smudge in the upper left quarter of the print. frame has surface damage and decorative trim is beginning to fall away in certain areas.
