Antique Pennsylvania Dutch Blanket Chest with Painted Unicorn Design

Item Details

An antique Pennsylvania Dutch blanket chest dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. This chest features a long rectangular shape with ornate bracket feet with scrolling detail. The chest features two long drawers at the bottom with metal pulls, and a large painted design across the front. The design features three white arched vignettes, where the center vignette features floral detail and the side vignettes feature painted unicorn motifs. The top of the chest also features painted unicorn and floral motifs.
