Intricate Scenic Hand-Knotted Oriental Rug
Item Details
An intricate, scenic, hand-knotted and sculpted Shantung accent rug. The rug is made of wool and features an intricate scenic pattern of village structures, a tall pagoda or temple, dragons, waterway bridges and villagers in boats. A flock of birds are shown in flight, in bright blue. The color palette is crisp, in bright blue, pale rose, cinnamon, nutmeg, mocha and pale mauve. It has been sculpted along the design lines for a textured appearance. The rug is banded in deep sapphire blue, with a small woven skirt and natural fringe to either end. Tagged to the reverse.
