A Paul Nzalamba Dancing In the Clouds print of an original batik. This print on paper of the original batik depicts a woman dressed in a yellow top and black and yellow skirt dancing joyously. It is signed in the print to the right center (under dancer’s left knee). While growing up in Uganda, Paul enjoyed watching his mother design baskets, floor mats, and other woven art. While in college, he learned the art of batik from Katogole Wasswa, one of Africa’s most respected batik masters. Nzalamba’s expressive paintings depict colorful images from his experiences in Africa in themes which are universally human. He celebrates family, relationships, and the celebration of life through his work. This print is double matted and presented in a wood frame under glass with a wire to the verso for hanging. Dated 1988.
