An antique walnut clerk’s desk. The desk features a slanted writing surface that opens to a fitted interior of twelve small drawers and nine slot compartments. Above the writing surface is a cabinet with two adjustable shelves and seven slot compartments. Below the cabinet and above the writing surface are two pull-out candle stick platforms. The bottom of the clerk’s desk features two drawers on top of two doors. The left side door opens to removable storage space with a single shelf; the right door opens to reveal four drawers with brass handles. Between the two doors is a hidden storage compartment with two shelves.
