A pair of uncirculated commemorative coins. This pair includes an 1875 one hundred dollar bill commemorative coin. This large silver plate coin has an embossed eagle standing on a bevy of arrows and an olive branch on a supine, spangled shield to the the obverse and says ‘History of Early American National Currency 1863, 1875, 1882’ around the border. The reverse has an embossed tableau of the Declaration of Independence signing and a small, color reproduction of an 1875 one hundred dollar bill front and back and says ‘One Hundred-Dollar Commemorative, Declaration of Independence 1875’ around the edge. Also included is a history of gold commemorative coin. This gold plate coin has an embossed view of the Fort Knox gold vault to the center with The Department of The Treasury seal just below and ‘Fort Knox Gold Vault, 1937, $35.00/oz.’ around the edge to the obverse. The reverse has an embossed Fort Knox, Lady Liberty and a rising line graph to the center and says ‘U.S. History of Gold’ around the top and ‘Fort Know Gold Depository’ to the bottom of the coin. Both coins include a certificate of authenticity.
