Burford Brother’s wash basin and pitcher. Burford Brothers Pottery (1879-1904, East Liverpool, OH) named their fine semi-vitreous pottery line ‘porcelain’, but are actually semi-porcelain, a hard-glazed earthenware meant to replicate porcelain but without its transparency. Marked with the Burford mark of a wreathed globe in green and ‘PORCELAIN’.
