Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl Collectors Plates

A collection of collectors plates made in Denmark, and a small pair of souvenir blue and white ceramic Dutch shoes. From Royal Copenhagen are a pair of plates inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep designed by Sven Vestergaard and issued in 1983, and a single Mare With Foal plate also designed by Vestergaard, issued in 1984. The smaller Bing & Grondahl plates depict famous Danish landmarks. One represents Egeskov Slot (Egeskov Castle) and the other Raadhuset Randers (Randers Town Hall). Each of these bears the B&G backstamp, and were produced in editions of approximately 9700, designed by Kgeld Bonfils. Each plate is wired for hanging.
