The photograph depicts a life mask made of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Mislabeled sticker to verso “Edward Steichen Gorham Sterling, New York, 1930. Printed from the original negative by George Tice with the authorization and approval of Joanna T. Steichen. 1984-86,” signed by George and Joanna. Presented mounted on white board.
