A Boehm Giant Panda Cub figurine. This Boehm porcelain (model 400-47) depicts a panda cub lying on its back with its paws in the air, nibbling on a bamboo stalk. The detail, as seen in the toes, claws, leaves, and fur, is classic Boehm artistry. The underside states, “To the People of the People’s Republic of China from the Edward Marshall Boehm Artists and Craftsmen of the United States of America, December 1974.” It was presented by Mrs. Edward Marshall Boehm during a visit to China to acknowledge the contribution to the art of porcelain by the Chinese people. Made in the U.S.A.

overall, but repair to bamboo leaf over cub’s left shoulder.
