A vintage minaudière by Maya. This unusual sculptured handbag serves as both jewelry and useful accessory. It is made of molded and sculptured resin, European and Asian stones, and plated and oxidized mixed metals. It features a butterfly shaped clasp with metallic snap closure. The molded resin body features an all-over floral lace design. The hinged lid is rimmed in hammered copper with a band continuing down either side and across the underside of this piece. The maker’s nameplate is attached to the backside. The 42” long strap is detachable.

Condition

Light soiling consistent with age and light use.
