An original acrylic on canvas painting, circa 1970. The painting is signed by J. Keane to the lower right; this signature appears on several abstract mid-century compositions, but little is known about the artist. The painting depicts a wide moon or sun floating over silhouetted trees; the painting is completed in tones of white, brown, and orange. It is presented in a wooden slat-style frame with brushed silver tone finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso, and a tag on the verso gives the piece’s title.
