An offset lithograph reproduction of a 1903 painting by well-listed American Indian-frontier genre painter Charles Marion Russell (1864 – 1926), titled Sun River War Party. The painting depicts a group of American Indian men riding on horseback across an arid Western landscape. Rocky formations rise in the distance. The painting is signed and dated in-plate to the lower left. It is double-matted in red and white and is presented behind glass in a carved wooden frame with gilt finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
Condition
- light scratching and loss of finish across frame. Very light crumbly debris between matting and glass.
