Antique Melodeon Parlour Organ

An antique Melodeon parlour organ. The antique reed organ, marked ‘The Silver Tongue’, dates to approximately 1870, and was manufactured by Carhart & Needham. The organ is made of a richly grained hardwood, and wood veneers, with ivory keys and a folding music stand. A scrolled center bracket supports scrolled, bracketed legs to the two sides. The hinged top can be raised and lowered to play the instrument or to cover it up, and the legs can be removed for compact storage or for transporting. - untested; antique condition – wood is scuffed, scratched, nicked and stained in places

Measured with legs removed and lid and music rack lowered and flattened.
When fully set up, the height of the organ is 29.5" inches.
