French Empire Style Fauteuil Armchairs

Item Details

A pair of upholstered French Empire style Fauteuil armchairs in what appears to be cherry. The chairs have burgundy upholstery with a scrolled arabesque design. The chairs have flat top rails and stiles with curved arms. The arms are painted black with ormolu style painted acanthus leaf carvings at the ends and top. The seat backs are slightly tilted back and the legs are slightly flared with cross stretchers front to back and nylon padded feet.

Condition

There are some scratches in the black paint of the arms.
