A signed limited edition ithograph in three colors on white, medium, very smooth paper colléd to white, thick, smooth Dacapo art paper titled Stocking On Knee, With Thumbs, And Men’s Shirt – As Fountains, New York, 1969 from Notes in Hand, 1972 by the well-listed and renowned Swedish-born whimsical artist Claes Oldenburg (New York, 1929 -). He became one of America’s leading Pop artists. The print depicts two sketches for fountains, the top image is a knee with thumbs pulling up a stocking, and the bottom image is a standing men’s shirt. There is an acetate sheet with printed words in sleeve to the verso. This print is number 26 in an edition of 100. It is signed with Oldenburg’s initials in pencil to the lower right and numbered in pencil to the lower left. Presented behind conservation clear UV protective glass in a black frame with white matting and a wire to the verso.
