Salvador Dalí Original Mixed Media Print "Vision Planétaire et Scatologique"

An original signed limited edition hand-pulled drypoint etching with lithographic color and embossing on BFK fine printmaking paper by prolific Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989). This piece is titled Vision planétaire et scatologique, or Planetary and scatologic vision and is from the artist’s series of 12 prints La Conquête du Cosmos or Conquest of Cosmos. The print depicts an amorphous organic form dotted with splahes of gold ink, bees, and vein-like linework. The print is signed in pencil by Dalí to the lower right and is numbered LXIV/CLXXXXV and signed by Jean Lavigne, the Frenchman who prompted Dalí to create this series and published it, in pencil to the lower left. The print is matted in white with silver interior wooden trim and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brushed silver tone finish and antiqued patina. A wire is attached to the piece’s verso for hanging.
