Tony Carretta Leaded Glass Vase "Ceremonial Vessel"

An original decorative vase by listed 20th century American glass sculptor Tony Carretta (Connecticut, 1953-), titled Ceremonial Vessel. This piece is made using stained glass copper foil techniques to solder together clear glass pebbles. Larger pebbles protrude organically from the vessel’s sides, and thin stripes of frosty blue, red, and orange glass. The vase fans out dramatically at its lip. The vessel is signed and dated 1992 on its base.
