Vintage copies of The Little Colonel’s House Party and The Little Colonel Stories by Anne Fellows Johnston. Annie Fellows Johnston (1863–1931) was an American author of children’s fiction. Her popular ‘Little Colonel’ series was the basis for the 1935 Shirley Temple film The Little Colonel. These hardbound copies feature pink cloth covers with gilt lettering and full color dust jackets. The Little Colonel Stories First Series was published by L.C. Page & Company, Boston, MA. and features illustrations by Harold Matthews Brett. The edition of The Little Colonel’s House Party was printed in 1941 by Colonial Press Inc., Clinton, Mass.
