A pair of vintage hanging scales. Offered here is a McArthur, Wirth & Cooney of Syracuse, N.Y. butcher’s scale with detached round tray. It is marked to the face ‘McArthur, Wirth & Cooney of Syracuse, N.Y. / Warranted by John Chatillon & Sons’ The second item is a hanging spring milk scale marked ’Chatillon’s Improved Circular Spring Balance to Weigh 30 lb.’ The Chatillon company has been in business for over 180 years and is known worldwide for their precision measuring equipment for the retail and food industries.
Condition
Wear and rust present to all pieces. Missing dial and water damage/stains to the face of the circular butcher’s scale.
