Item Details

An antique book belonging to Kentucky author Temple Bodley (1772-1833). Bodley wrote a biography of Lewis and Clark and A History of Kentucky Before the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. This book is Familiar Quotations by John Bartlett (1869, Little, Brown and Company, Boston). Bodley signed the inside pages in two places, and dated his book 1879. There are some interesting pencil drawings in some of the margins.
