A 19th Century French Academic School, After Pompeo Batoni (1708-1787) ‘Prometheus Modeling Man from Clay’, oil on canvas. Features Minerva reaching out to the figure with a butterfly as Prometheus models a young male figure. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

Wear is commensurate with age and use. Canvas is slightly separating from frame near the bottom.
