Vintage Hand-Painted Japanese Lustreware Jam Jar

Item Details

A vintage hand-painted Japanese lustreware jam jar. The porcelain jam jar has a handle, and a lid with a notch cut-out (to accommodate a small, porcelain spoon.) The side of the jar is hand-painted with a scene of a Dutch windmill on a yellow background, with gold lustre details to the knob and around the rim. It is marked ‘Meito China – Hand Painted Made in Japan’ to the underside.

Condition

Vintage condition; finish shows wear in spots.
