An original oil painting by well listed American artist Wilhelm T. Eilerts. Eilerts was a late 19th century Kentucky artist known for his folksy depictions of country life. This painting depicts cows let out to pasture in an idyllic countryside. It is signed and dated 1879 by Eilerts to the lower right corner. Condition

Some craquelure due to age. Crack in frame with some loss to fillet, scratches to frame. Painting appears to have been heavily cleaned, which has led to an uneven paint surface and minor spots where canvas is visible.
