This was Prince’s sixth studio album, considered by many his greatest musical endeavor. It is also the soundtrack for his 1984 cult hit film of the same name. In 2012, the album was placed on the Library of Congress National Recording Registry of recordings that are considered ‘culturally, historically, or aesthetically important.’ The album is housed in its original sleeve.
