A selection of hardcover classic literature presented by the Franklin Library Collection in Franklin, Pennsylvania. The volumes are bound in faux leather with a variety of colors: red, black, green, burgundy, and brown. Included are Comedies by Moliére, translated by David M. Frame and including printed copies of the original wood-engraved illustrations after Tony Johannot. Included is Tales of Edgar Allen Poe with the illustrations of Harry Clarke, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, with illustrations reprinted from the original 1885 edition by Edward Windsor Kemble. Vanity Fair, A Novel Without a Hero by William Makepeace Thackeray is included, with reprinted illustrations by the author. Also included is The Floss on the Mill by George Eliot, with illustrations by Herbert Tauss, and The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, translated from the German by H.T. Lowe-Porter and illustrated by Gonzalo Fonseca. Included is Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice with portraits by Chris Duke, and Candide by Voltaire, with translation by Tobias Smollet and illustrations by Antoni Clavé. Also included is a copy of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens, with illustrations by Paul Degen. Each volume has a handsome gold embossed title and embellishment to the spine.

- All appear to be clean and unused. Generally very good condition.
