Set of "Birthday Girls" Ceramic Figurines

A set of three Birthday Girls bisque porcelain angel figurines by Josef Originals, produced by Applause Inc. in Taiwan. Muriel Joseph and her WWII veteran husband, George, began producing these collectibles figures in 1946. Included in this set are the angels for 16, 17 and 18-year old ‘birthday girls.’ Each angel wears a different color hand-glazed dress with hand-painted facial details, and carries an object: a fan, a lyre, and a bouquet. Each is tagged to the base.
