A reproduction offset lithographic print after an original painting by Sir Winston Churchill, titled View from Chartwell, originally painted by him in 1938. Chartwell, located in the southeast of England in Kent, was the wartime home of Sir Winston and his wife, Clementine. They undertook complete restoration of the property and lived in it until Sir Winston’s death in 1965. He was an avid if undeveloped painter and this image shows the view from his home, with rolling hills, abundant trees and a wide, bright sky. The print is signed in-plate and presented by Churchill Heritage Limited. It is presented under glass with a rich dark amber mat and a black wood frame. Ready to hang.
