A pair of original, signed oil on canvas paintings inspired by nature. The first is a large depiction of wild ducks in flight over a pond. The piece is rendered in great detail, with realistic and lifelike colors, showing the fowl on the wing in an autumnal landscape. Signed ‘Jack’ to the lower right. The work is presented in a double frame with ivory canvas mat and wood accent. Also included is a painting of the Texas hill country by Mary Ann Castillo, signed to the lower right. The piece shows a rolling landscape and fields of the beautiful bluebonnets in the Texas hill country. It is presented in a grey, barnwood-style frame with a gold inner accent frame. It is dated July 1985 to the verso and is ready to hang.
