Vintage Alphonse La Paglia Art Deco Sterling Silver Necklace and Earring Set

A vintage Art Deco sterling silver necklace and earring set by the Sicilian designer Alphonse La Paglia (1907 – 1953). This set features a flower blossom design with hobnail accents along the top. Included is a necklace that fastens with a hook clasp and a pair of clip-on earrings. Both the necklace and one of the earrings is marked ‘La Paglia Sterling 145’. La Paglia studied silversmithing under George Jensen in Denmark and eventually moved to the United States during the 1940s.
