A mid 19th century restrike etching by Amand Durand of an etching titled El Agarrotado by Francisco Goya (1746-1828). The print depicts a prisoner tied to a chair with a cross in his hands. The title and artist’s name are written in pencil to the lower margin. There is an Amand Durand collector’s stamp to the verso that dates this piece between 1865 and 1867.Presented behind glass in a gilt frame with carved embellishments and white matting, wire to the verso.

Condition

- areas of discoloration to the bottom and upper right, foxing throughout, slight water damage to the upper left.
