Item Details
An original oil on canvas board painting by artist Emmett C. Wood. The work is titled Pacific Seascape; La Jolla California, painted plein air in 1971. The work depicts sailboats in the distance behind a rocky shoreline. It is signed in the lower right corner ‘E.S. Wood’. The work is presented in a painted gold and teal wood frame with canvas lining. It is tagged on the back and hand written with the title, artist and date on the back of the board. Per consignor, Emmett Wood was the biographer of American Impressionist painter Paul Sawyier (1865 – 1917).
Condition
Some staining/scrapes near the edges.
