Mid Century Desk by Edward Wormley for Drexel

Item Details

A Mid Century Modern sapele mahogany desk designed by Edward Wormley in the 1940’s as part of the Precendent collection for the Drexel Furniture Company. The desk was likely produced circa the 1950’s-1970’s. The kneehole desk is constructed with dovetail joints, with towers on drawers of each side with a central drawer in the center. There is a built in bookcase on the back of the desk. The drawers are marked with the Drexel manufacturer’s mark.

Condition

- to fair, drawer interiors need cleaning, there are a few minor impressions in the veneer, surface scuffs and scratches inherent to age and use.
