An original conté crayon sketch on heavyweight paper with deckled edges of a nude woman by well-listed American allegorical abstract artist Reuben Nakian (1897 – 1986). An apparent representation of Europa and The Bull, this piece depicts a reclining woman with a bull peering from behind her. The drawing is signed to the lower left. The drawing is float-mounted on white and is presented behind glass in a modern oak frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso. - to fair. Dark-stained water damage to upper left corner. Light creasing and smudging.
