An original silver gelatin photograph from an unnumbered edition of 100 by very well-listed Luxembourgish-American photographer and curator Edward Steichen (1879-1973), titled Joan Crawford. This photograph was taken in 1932, but was printed in 1984 following the artist’s death when much of Steichen’s undeveloped film was processed. The photograph depicts a high-contrast black-and-white portrait the very well-known American actress in a long form-fitting black gown. The photograph is float-mounted on white and presented behind glass in black composite frame. A hanging wire and a tag with the piece’s basic info are attached to the verso.
