Circa 1925 Knowles, Taylor & Knowles Baby Blue Utilitarian China
Item Details
An assortment of baby blue utilitarian china vessels, produced in East Liverpool, Ohio by Knowles, Taylor, & Knowles. KTK operated in Southeastern Ohio from 1854 to 1931, producing highly successful lines during its tenure. Each piece is marked to the underside with a mark known to be produced later in the company’s duration, circa 1920-1925. The pieces are finished in a light blue glaze with lightly embossed filigree and acanthus leaf design to the exterior. The rims and exterior basin of the wash basin feature luster coating. Features a wash basin and pitcher with an iron stand in a white patina. Includes a chamber pot and two small vase and pitcher vessels; however, the smallest vessel is missing its handle.
Condition
- handle broken, chipping present especially to sugar bowl lid, previous repair to chips and cracks. Wear to finishes from use.
