Murray Zimiles Mixed Media Drawing "Red Lady"
Item Details
An original mixed media drawing with graphite and oil on wove paper by well-listed Murray Zimiles (New York, 1941 -), titled Red Lady, of Zimiles’ Couch Series 3, dated 1980. The drawing is mounted behind a white linen liner, under acrylic glass, in a brushed metal silver tone frame. A label is attached to the verso from the Neuberger Museum of the University of New York. It states information about the piece and noting it was once property of the Alan Brown Gallery of Hartsdale, New York. Zimiles has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions since 1965. His work is represented widely in reputed private and museum collections throughout the world, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Jewish Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, Haifa, Israel; the Tel Aviv Museum, Israel; and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
