A Bud Light ‘Spuds MacKenzie’ Lamp. Spuds MacKenzie was the mascot for Bud Light, by Anheuser-Busch, in the 1980s. He first appeared in a commercial at Superbowl XXI in 1987 sporting a floral shirt and sunglasses. He soon became a pop culture sensation, even touring with an entourage of models and coming-up actresses dubbed the ‘Spudettes.’
This ‘Spuds MacKenzie’ plastic blow mold lamp features the Bud Light brand on the front of his blue shirt. Anheuser-Busch, Inc. is labeled on the underside of the lamp along with a stamped ‘Oct 31 1988.’ The lamp is operated by a thumb wheel switch, and takes two 10 watt bulbs. This lamp was tested and found to be in working condition.
Wear is consistent with age and use.
